Dandelion – taraxacum officinale.
This herb is commonly recommended to help with liver and gall bladder complaints and as a diuretic for fluid retention. Dandelion root stimulates bile activity, which is needed for breakdown of dietary fat, and for prevention of sluggish liver and gallstones. Dandelion is rich in potassium, which helps compensate for the depletion of this mineral due to its diuretic effect. Dandelion is also among the more nutritionally rich of medicinal herbs.
